The Healing Properties of Tiger Eye

With its direct connection to the sun, Tiger Eye is the stone for anyone looking to boost their vitality and zest for life. If you’re ready to stop seeing the world in terms of black and white, Tiger Eye will help bring you into a world full of color, full of options, full of possibilities!

I’m so excited to share with you the awesome power of Tiger Eye and how it can help you tap into your personal power! So, let’s get started!

Let’s get geological!

Tiger Eye (sometimes called Tiger’s Eye) is a member of the Quartz family. It comes in a variety of colors but the most common form comes in amber, yellow, gold, and brown tones. This silicon dioxide mineral is very popular thanks to the chatoyancy (or cat’s-eye) when you move a polished stone back and forth in the light.

The largest source of Tiger Eye comes from a deposit in South Africa. It has also been found around the world—in India, Western Australia, Burma, and the United States.

Varieties of Tiger Eye

Tiger Eye comes in a few varieties, all with their own unique beauty!

Golden Tiger Eye

When most people refer to Tiger Eye (or sometimes Tiger’s Eye) they are talking about Golden Tiger Eye. With beautiful bands of yellow-gold color stripping the stone, Golden Tiger Eye is a powerful stone that helps to bring balance to your life. This stone can help you move past your fear and anxiety, and take action in your life.

Red Tiger Eye

Red Tiger Eye has a lot of the same grounding and protective energies as other variations of Tiger Eye. But Red Tiger Eye brings passionate energy with it. If you are looking for a protective stone to take with you on your journey of love, this is the stone for you!

Mixed Tiger Eye

Sometimes Golden Tiger Eye and Hawk Eye form together to create something we call Mixed Tiger Eye. Currently, in the Sara Bryki Co. online shop, we have gorgeous companion hearts in Mixed Tiger Eye—they have to be seen to be believed.

Blue Tiger Eye (Hawk Eye)

This stunning blue-toned Tiger Eye is sometimes called Hawk Eye. It is a stone that brings protection, power, and confidence into your life. This stone will help keep you focused and grounded, while still helping you push to be your best self. Blue Tiger Eye helps you gain mental clarity and helps you tap into your intuition, making it a wonderful stone during times of change.

Honey Tiger Eye

Looking to bring a little lightness and joy into your life? Then you need Honey Tiger Eye! This stone is all about optimism—it brings brightness into your life and gives you a deeper insight into your problems.

The healing properties of Tiger Eye

Working with Tiger Eye, you will have the opportunity to bring a lot of amazing energies into your life. One of the most important aspects of Tiger Eye is how it can help you find a balance between extremes. You might not think that you face extremes but every day, we all do. We battle with our light and dark sides, with joy and sorrow, with chaos and calm. Tiger Eye can help you find the middle ground and keep you grounded in it.

In the same vein, Tiger Eye can help you see past this world of such concrete dualities and embrace a world full of options. It isn’t black and white—it is a million different shades, and tones, and colors! Tiger Eye lets you embrace the possibilities that this open world view offers and make choices based on your insights instead of snap judgments.

This stone is also very powerful in helping you achieve mental clarity. Again, because Tiger Eye is all about balance, it allows you to hold contradictory ideas simultaneously with a non-judgemental stance. Opening your mind up in this way is no easy feat, but is an essential tool for all of us.

Tiger Eye is also a stone linked directly to the sun. This stone is bursting with vitality—you can feel the energy in it! And working with Tiger Eye will bring that energy and joy into your life. Its joyous energy can help you tap into your personal power and truly embrace everything that you can do!

How to use your Tiger Eye

One of my favorite ways to use Tiger Eye is actually in the workspace. Because of the balance Tiger Eye brings, it can be an invaluable tool in your office or place of work. It can bring harmony to people with different viewpoints—I think that kind of unity is something most people would love to experience in their workplaces!

Keep a piece of Tiger Eye on your desk to benefit from its energies while you work. Or wear a piece of Tiger Eye jewelry to keep the power with you wherever you go.

Golden Tiger Eye is excellent for clearing your Solar Plexus Chakra and accessing your personal power. I love to use this stone during meditation when I am doubting myself in making decisions—I always feel much clearer and ready to move forward after spending time in meditation with my Tiger Eye. Try using a Tiger Eye wand during your next meditation session—they are also wonderful for massage as well!

And there you have it, Tiger Eye in all its powerful glory! I can’t wait to hear how you’ve been using your Tiger Eye. Drop a comment below and let me know your favorite way to work with Tiger Eye!

Keep shining, Crystal Lover!
